The success of an organization comes down to its organizational culture. We have always maintained that strategy is the tip of the iceberg with the bigger culture below it. Core values are exactly what they state: the core of an organization’s culture. What are core values? – Precisely, they are the ethics or guiding principles that provide purpose and direction. They assist companies’ management in building successful employees and satisfied clients. It is very significant for Brandt to practice their own values in order to achieve their goals. Brandt believes that success comes with the embodiment of our cultural core values. As the result of the 2019 strategic Organization Navigation session by the leadership team, Brandt has come up with the defining core values which are the backbone of the organization and can build quality individuals.

Integrity

Integrity is known as a quality of being honest and having strong moral principles. Brandt encourages employees to practice a high level of integrity. It is all about being honest and being trustable for the company and clients. For instance, employees should be able to communicate with honest facts and enclose clients’ needs without compromising any rules against the company policy. Besides, it is significant for the employee to complete their task or responsibilities on time as promised to the clients. This act increases the trust level of the client towards the employee and company. On top of that, it also shows a great impression individually which helps in employees’ future undertakings.

Strive for excellence

Employees should have eager to learn and teach each other. In this way, it improves the knowledge and bonding of employees indirectly. Striving for excellence built-up problem-solving mindset. Along with that, team leaders play a very important role in striving excellence of the employees. A great leader always brings out the best of their teams. This is because good leaders recognize and appreciate their teammates personally more than their ability. Psychologically, everyone will give their best when they are appreciated. Thus, Brandt leaders always appreciate and guide their teammates. Significantly, employees should understand their client’s needs and know ways to meet them. This quality shows that employees give importance to clients and always put the client first in business.

Spirit of adventure

Life is more about being adventurous and learning from experience. Thus, every employee should have the spirit of adventure in order to learn and deliver more knowledge. Brandt encourages their employees to be curious in their task or job responsibility. Having a sense of curiosity makes employees flexible & persistent in paving new possibilities. It is ok to make mistakes because Brandt believes mistakes make us learn and remember it more than just learning things. Being adventurous not only makes you better, but it also helps us to understand the freedom to express. Listening and understanding others’ point of view also helps each other to understand each other’s perspectives and consequences.

Respect for diversity

The world is a beautifully diverse place and so are workplaces. As Brandt understands diversity is an economic and legal priority in business. It increases innovation and keeps business out of legal jeopardy. With diverse ethnicities, it is very crucial to understand each other’s sensitivity and respect accordingly. Therefore, Brandt treats everyone equally. Moreover, diversity brings together different backgrounds and cultures which increases the pace, creativity, and value of the company. For instance, respecting religious holidays. We encourage employees to take their off during festivals and religious holidays such as Chinese New Year, Hari Raya, Deepavali, and Christmas. It shows how respectful and understanding we are towards each other.

Brandt believes that practicing those values can bring great success for the company, the employees and achieve client satisfaction. All we need to do is make those values a habit, soon it will be a behavior.
