ESGAM: ESG Awareness Event
On 16th August 2023, the ESG Association of Malaysia (ESGAM) hosted its third networking session, focusing on raising awareness about Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) matters.
This event was proudly sponsored by Brandt, and we’re proud to say it was a huge success – filled with knowledge sharing and motivation to drive each other to become more ESG-compliant so we can collectively achieve our nation’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDG).
Amongst the speakers was our very own Dato’ Munirah Looi, CEO of Brandt Business Services Sdn Bhd. As she took to the stage, she captivated the stage with her presentation on ESG – its importance, and how it can be implemented across any organization. Some of the key pillars of driving ESG adoption across an organization include leadership commitment, stakeholder engagement, integration of ESG and sustainability into overall strategy, and employee training and awareness.
The significance of investing in ESG efforts was not to go unnoticed, with the implementation and benefits of ESG being the main highlights of her presentation. Following her presentation, the remainder of the evening was filled with networking and knowledge-sharing between a plethora of different organizations, discussing the different ways and challenges they faced when implementing ESG practices.
